Slight Mod of FSP BlueStorm II 500W

PSU FSP BlueStorm II 500WBelow is an article explaining how to mod a FSP BlueStorm II 500W (10x to iceman89@hardwarebg).

The mod includes changing the native Yate Loon Fan with a 120mm Zalman, with the sole purpose of having the beautiful blue light coming out of the case. Of course it comes along with cleaning and refurbishing of the PSU, which usually gets a lot of dirt during action.

And here are the steps to moding the FSP BlueStorm:

 

 

 

 

1. PSU case opened:

2. FAN cables cut off:
PSU FSP BlueStorm II 500W opened


3. Zalman cables attached (allowing future interference):
PSU FSP BlueStorm II 500W


4. New fan (shining bright):
Zalman
